What is Wealthy Affiliate?
Wealthy Affiliate is a platform that offers training, tools, and resources for people interested in building an online business, in the field of affiliate marketing and beyond!

Training: Wealthy Affiliate provides step-by-step training through video tutorials, written guides, and webinars that cover various aspects of affiliate marketing, including niche selection, website creation, content creation, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), social media marketing, online marketing, digital marketing and more.
I personally found the training to be enjoyable and easy-to-follow. I appreciated the fact that much of the training is provided via video. I needed that! I also liked that I could do the training at my own pace.
There’s no time limit on when you have to get through the training, so I could do it at my own pace and even watch certain training videos more than once if I didn’t get something the first time.
Community: Wealthy Affiliate boasts a large and active community of members who are willing to help and support each other. This sense of community can be valuable for beginners who might have questions or need guidance.
I was quite surprised by this when I first started. I’d put out a question to the community and I’d get not one, but several answers within minutes! And what’s even more shocking is, if you send a question to one of the owners, either Kyle or Carson, they respond! That just blew me away.
Ten years later, if I email Kyle or Carson with a question, they still respond. And fast!
Website Builder: The platform offers a website builder and website hosting services, which can be convenient for those who are new to creating websites. This eliminates the need to search for third-party hosting providers.
Their platform works solely with WordPress websites (the best in the world!) and their website hosting is top-knotch with 24/7 tech support. Any time I’ve had any trouble at all with my website in the last 10 years, I email WA Support and it’s fixed within minutes. I’m not kidding. Within minutes.

Keyword Research Tools: Wealthy Affiliate provides an excellent tool for keyword research called, Jaaxy. A keyword tool is essential for optimizing content for search engines and attracting organic traffic.

Not Just Affiliate Marketing: Wealthy Affiliate has always been focused on affiliate marketing. It didn’t used to be the best fit for people looking to explore other online business models or digital marketing strategies.
But in recent years, Wealthy Affiliate has expanded, bigtime, and are considered one of the world’s top training platforms for digital marketing and starting an online business. I’ll talk a bit more about the training they have available on various online marketing topics next.

Wealthy Affiliate’s training is constantly being updated. It’s never old, irrelevant or obsolete training. Sometimes I have trouble keeping up! Fortunately for me, my business has run successfully on the basic training I received from Wealthy Affiliate when I first started.
They also keep us updated on anything that happens in the affiliate marketing and internet world such as Google updates and changes (and what, if anything, we need to do.)
I like this because nowadays there are so many fake gurus on YouTube trying to tell people what they should, or shouldn’t do in their online business. And you never know whether you should actually trust them. I know I can trust Wealthy Affiliate!
How Much Does Wealthy Affiliate Cost?
Wealthy Affiliate offers both free and premium membership options. The free membership provides access to some basic training and tools, but more advanced training and features require a premium subscription, which you can pay monthly (or annually to get a discount).
I started the Free Membership in August (10 years ago), did several training classes, then upgraded to the Premium Membership that November. I appreciated the fact that I was able to try it out and didn’t have to decide whether or not to upgrade until I was sure if I wanted to continue or not. And even after the upgrade, I was free to cancel at any time.
But I never did. I’ve been a Premium Member of Wealthy Affiliate ever since! I always say I couldn’t live long enough to take advantage of all of the training available in my Premium Membership. Seriously, it’s like hundreds of classes.
